What To Consider When Buying A Used Car
As most of you reading this blog know already I am looking for a used car at the moment, and that is why I am also looking for different things that you should know when you are buying a used car. My precious Volvo was not that great of a purchase and I don’t want to make that same mistake again so here is my list of things you should keep in mind when you are buying a used car.
- Try to find one with just one previous user and owner. People are selling cars that have had only one user but the thing is that it has been owned by a company so there might be hundreds of users. No-one of them are driving the car like it is their own and they are kicking the gas pedal every time they have a chance. So even if there is one owner you need to be sure that it is not from a company, or from a big family with a lot of people able to drive the car. With one user and owner your chances of him/her being too bad decrease.
- Don’t get something just because you like what you are seeing. If you enjoy the looks of a used car then you should double check that the specs and the condition is okay too. And always remember that if it has had bodywork done it always decreases the value unlike most of the sellers think. If they add new body kits to the car by themselves it is going to make the car less valuable since there are less people who are likely to buy it, and you don’t know how well the work is done.
- If you can get a new car for the price of a used one, then get the new one!
